Delivery

Depending on how busy we are, orders are usually shipped out within 7-10 days of order.

Once shipped, the carrier will contact you directly to arrange delivery.

Because our products are inherently large, we ship our products on a commercial pallet carrier.

Commercial carriers operate slightly differently from parcel carriers and deliver during normal working hours.

Our carrier will contact you directly to arrange delivery with you.

Please be advised that we may not be able to provide delivery updates when we are extremely busy. Our focus will necessarily be on production and dispatch and swift order fulfilment.

For delivery updates please email only and response will usually be later that working day.

All of our picnic tables are shipped out flat for easy self-assembly.

The necessary fixings are provided to assemble the product.

Easy to follow photographic assembly instructions are included with the fixings.

Yes. As long as someone is present to take delivery.

No. The primary purpose of the carrier is to delivery you order to your address.

The driver has to adhere to delivery rules set out by his company.

We offer delivery to almost all parts of the UK mainland for only £40 per order regardless of order quantity.

Orders are usually dispatched within 7 – 10 days of order.

This allows us time to package and dispatch your order and the carrier another 2-3 days to deliver.

If you need your order within a shorter lead time, we can arrange a priority delivery in most cases for a small extra charge.

The carrier will contact you directly to arrange delivery.

Alternatively, if you are not too far away you might like to collect your order by prior arrangement and save on our standard delivery charge.

Your order will be distributed using a commercial delivery service which requires HGV access to your property. Please advise prior to ordering if delivery access is likely to be a challenge.

During our busier periods, lead times may extend a few days more.

If ordering from Scotland the delivery charge is slightly higher at £80 per order.

The Highlands, Northern Ireland or offshore islands might not be viable or possible for us to deliver to so please call or email first for a delivery quotation.

Products

All of our picnic tables are constructed from Scandinavian Redwood which is a form of pine.

Redwood is weather resistant in it’s own right but we also pressure treat the timber sections for long life.

Yes. All of the timber sections that make up the picnic tables are pressure treated for long commercial and residential life.

Our picnic tables, if looked after, should last at least 10-15 years.

We know of many in service with regular customers that are at least that age and still standing strong.

Yes. All of the timber sections on our picnic tables are planed smooth with smooth radiused edges.

Yes. As the table is pressure treated it will initially have a slightly higher moisture content.

The table will acclimatise after a few days.

Probably best to leave it a few dry days before applying a coating and try a test area underneath first to check.

We don’t think that covers are necessarily a good idea in Winter.

The picnic tables are designed to stay outdoors all year round.

The problem you may have with a cover is mould forming underneath the cover in damp conditions.

Yes. A 51mm parasol hole in the centre of the table top is a free option.

Good old soap and water and a brush is the best way to clean your picnic table in the Spring ready for the season ahead.

Avoid jet-washing if you can as the water pressure can break the surface grain and make the surface furry.

The picnic tables are already pressure treated for long life.

You can treat them further if you like but you don’t necessarily need to.

Danish Oil is easy to apply and can help to create a barrier to food stains and the like.

Ordering

Ordering online is the quickest and easiest way to order.

That way your order goes automatically to our dispatch department.

Alternatively, we can take orders and payments by card over the phone.

For larger orders and enquiries, we suggest to email. That way we both have access to refer to the ongoing order and enquiry.

Depending on the time of year we do offer deals and discounts from time to time.

As a seasonal business we would normally offer discounts in our quieter months. Autumn through to early New Year traditionally.

Discounts also heavily depend on quantities and location.

Yes. We do this very often for orders taken in the Winter months for delivery in spring.

We need to know what you would like to order and any agreed prices and terms.

Delivery address.

Invoice address if different.

Contact name and number of the person ordering.

Delivery contact name and best number to contact.

Yes. We do accept official orders.

Please remember to include all of the above delivery and invoice information along with any specific delivery or invoicing instructions.

Not generally. All of our orders are processed on a pro forma payment basis.

The only exception to this would be schools, colleges or local authorities.

We don’t run credit checks and don’t offer terms of payment.

However, if you order online via PayPal, there is the facility through PayPal to spread your payments.

Yes. Depending on size of order and location.

Time of year will also have some bearing on whether we can offer our assembly service.

During our busiest times we are fully concentrated on shipping orders to customers as quickly as possible.
